About Alumni/Staff Services

For over 15 years, Rice Career Services Center has been providing services to assist Rice graduates in their professional growth and career transitions. Career counseling can cover a range of topics including job search strategies, resume writing, preparing for interviews or adjusting to change in the work place. Testing can help create insight into why we have chosen our current careers as well as suggest possible alternative careers. We can also help you to develop effective job search skills based on your needs. This might include:

Assistance in identifying resources and search strategies for your particular career goals
Referrals to appropriate professional and informational resources
Assistance with basic job search strategies and skills
Personality and interest assessments
Career counseling

Career testing and counseling is provided by CSC staff career counselors, Jackie Hing and Nancy Laidlaw. Both are licensed professional counselors and have extensive experience in career decision-making issues. Please contact our office to schedule an appointment. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. and on most Tuesday evenings until 9:00p.m.
